CHRISTMAS STORY

There was a little boy called Gumball who was moaning that his snowman wouldn't last long, his mum told him that he should be thankful that they got snow this year.

As mum stood there cheerfully watching her family play; two of her dogs came up. Joyful complained that they had been playing on a swing but it was broken and Triumphant moaned that they had banged the front of their heads as a result. Mum asked them what swing they had been playing on and was told that it belongs to their neighbour, Gerald Angel.

'Well go and make sure no one else plays on it and take Vincent with you,' mum instructed. But her dogs complained that they didn't know Vincent. Mum explained that Vincent was her friends dog and that he had come over to play so they were to be nice and make him welcome. The dogs however were distracted by all the winter fun and games that were happening in their garden.

It was then that Mum noticed that her flowers in the window weren't facing the sun, so she asked her other little boy, Jerry, to go and sort them out. Jerry said that he would but continued playing in the snow. Mum then became aware of a faint noise in the background, she looked round to see who was singing and saw their cat Slappy sitting on the wall singing away but no one was paying any attention.

Mum stood there and after surveying the scene, she realised that all her words had fallen on deaf ears, everyone was just continuing about there business as if she had never spoken. She wasn't too angry though as she knew everyone was hyper about Christmas and excitedly playing in the snow, except for Gumball of course who was still pouting.

Mother decided that she needed to have a little but firm word with everyone. 'Gather round please I need to speak to you all,' she said clapping her hands. Everyone gathered, for they knew when mummy clapped her hands, she meant business.

'I know you are all having a great time but there are a few things that I would like to say ...

Gumball be grateful, Joyful and Triumphant, mark the Gerald Angels swing, while you're away with a stranger don't clip your forehead, Jerry twist vase and Slappy few Hear!
